Biography

Radio interest initiated in early 1970 and my first QSO is on club station LZ1KSZ while studied in electrical technical school on age of 16.At that age I build my own transmitter and by using modified broadcast receiver established first HF contact by own equipment.
Later educated in the naval academy and over 40 years served at sea,last 25 years as sea master/ captain being at all oceans and many of the major ports around the globe.
During my sea service time, due to the necessity of my professional duties it was necessary to attend various trainings for radio communications at sea and as result to gain good experience in all kinds of HF and VHF emergency radio communications, as well to obtain respective certificates.
During all my time at sea I did not distant my self from the radio hobby and in each possibility I used the ship`s equipment for that purpose.
After age of 60 understandably I become a pensioner and continued for a few years to teach yang candidate for sea masters in the training center in Varna.
During this period I shift my QTH from Varna to a small village outside of the town in order to have more place for my antennas as well less QRM and QRN.
Last few years due to family reasons with my family we shift our QTH in Austria, and presently I am operating with Austrian callsign OE1DGB.
