Biography
-First licensed as WN5DGH (Novice) in Houston,TX in 1962 (Ham for 59 years)
-Got my General in 1962 and was then WA5DGH (Now Extra class)
-Assumed the W5EEX call in 2002 when my Dad passed away. He was W5EEX from 1934-2002
-I have always been mostly a CW operator, but have gotten into digital
in the past few years, also prefer mostly QRP operation, occasional SSB.
-Retired in 2012 after working 44 years in the electronics industry: Abbot Medical
Electronics 7 years, Intel Corp 20 years, then 17 years as self-employed as
RF/Microwave manufacturer's representative.
-I have a son who is a ham: KE7BVX in AZ

-I enjoy occasional kit building and tinkering with microprocessor projects
-The photo is of me operating portable for the ARS Flight of the Bumblebees Contest,
at Usery Mountain Park, near Superstition Mountains, east of Phoenix. I was
operating CW with FT897 on battery, using a screwdriver antenna atop the Jeep.
