Biography
As of 1st January 2019 I am no longer a member of Italian QSL bureau (why ? Read below),
therefore from now on QSL via direct, LoTW, eQSL, ClubLog and QRZ Log, not bureau
anymore. It's a pity, I know, but so it is.

SWL since 1974 (I2-70272), in February 1982 thanks to Elena, I2CWK (s.k.),
who taught me Morse code, with her patience and love for it, I got my HAM ticket
with full privileges.
I run barefoot (100 W) and like HF DXing, not contests, even if you can sometimes
find me browsing the bands during major contests to fill new band/mode slots.
CW is my preferred mode, but I do SSB as well, no digi-mode at all, at least for
the time being, because I simply don't like them, but never say never.
Worked my first 115 Entities with a 12AVQ vertical and a 40m Dipole, then moved to
a new house in the same town and been lucky enough to be able to put up a 4 elements
tri-band beam and dipoles for 40 and 80m. Later in July 1992, when allocated, I
added a WARC bands (12, 17 and 30m) rotary dipole.
I collect QSL cards and use primarily the bureau, but lately it became extremely
slow and less reliable. Nowadays turnaround is at least 3 years if correspondent
replies fast. I still remember those good old days in the 80's early 90's when it
wasn't uncommon get a reply within a year or so. Also, it is very frustrating see
more and more people state NO MORE BUREAU QSLs or ONLY DIRECT.
I think soon or later I will have to resign from the bureau and switch to LoTW,
eQSL and direct only, due to lack of replies, but for the time being I am still
subscribed to the bureau, so please, until further notice, keep sending your cards
via the bureau, I still hope they can reach me.
I upload once or twice per year my logs to LoTW, eQSL, ClubLog and QRZ,
please do the same, it is free, not a big task and you can make people happy,
even if a paper QSL is much better from my point of view.
