Ham radio is one of my hobbies after enjoyed Broadcasting Listener and became SWL station
Joined Ham Radio as a member of ORARI in 1985 used to work in AM mode 80 m band with 6AG7 as oscilator, 6L6 as buffer and final power with 2 X 807 tubes homebrew transmitter, sepatared receiver Sony IC-7600D (1985-1988)
My first General Class ham radio license as YD9CES issued in 1985, Upgraded to Advance Class as YC9CES in 1989, Last examination passed in 1997 allowed me apply to Extra Class as YB9CES currently.
in 1993 - 1995 worked all continents as YC9CES with twobander 2 elements quad homebrew, 10 m high with low power 10-25 watts from my IC-725, no so many other ham station was DX'ing at that time from "The Island of Paradise Bali" so make me enough so busy.
in 1998 - 2006 I hangged-up my microphone and key for a private reason, and coming back in 2007
In 1985 to 2011 my station was in Denpasar City, After retired in Public Service as Gov. Officer, in January 2012 I built a new base station and moved to Serongga Kelod Village, Gianyar, its located about 20 km from Denpasar, eastern part of the island, 2.5 km up from beach shore of Pantai Lebih ("Lebih Beach"), to The City of Gianyar
My new qth is 83 m above sea water level, with cooler temperature, plenty of trees, look more green area than before; surrounding rivers also natural fresh air of course .
